Auckland New Zealand Temple Thumb

First video for Auckland New Zealand Temple

I finished a first attempt at modeling Auckland New Zealand. Now I only have one more temple to go before I cam caught back up to the Church (at least in regard to officially released renders!) I fully expect my attempt to keep up with all the temples to become significantly harder this coming conference weekend, but for now I try my best.

I will have some historical models, as well as some remakes I finished some time ago coming soon, I hope.

Yigo Guam Temple video now available

I just uploaded a video for the Yigo Guam Temple, on of the twelve Temples announced in last October’s conference. This temple features a variation of what Rick Satterfeild, owner and operator of ChurchOfJesusChristTemples.org, recently referred to as the “Island Temple Design.” Three temples based off this design have been unveiled so far, San Juan Puerto Rico, Yigo Guam, and Praia Cabo Verde. We also speculate that it might be possible that Abidjan Ivory Coast shares a variation of this floorplan, though we might never know for sure. Anyway, Enjoy my video, and underneath click the image to go to my Wiki page for Yigo Guam.

New Videos for Apia Samoa

Today I uploaded a new Dusk video for the Apia Samoa Temple. I intended to only do the one video, but my original Apia video was so… Bad… That I decided that I needed to replace it as well, so I cropped just the daylight portion of the Dusk video and uploaded it as a new current video for the Apia Temple model. Both videos are linked here, plus the image at the bottom of the page which links to the Apia Model and history page.

Urdaneta Philippines Temple Video now Online!

In what is likely a first for me, I have a video ready for the Urdaneta Philippines Temple, and the official render was only released 4 days ago.  Considering how quickly I got it done, I am impressed with how well it came out!

The groundbreaking  for this temple is not until January, so we will have tow ait to find out details like the back side of the temple, and which direction it really faces on the lot, and what the Landscaping really looks like. You know, all those small details that are not all that small.

Click on through the link below to see all 2 or three of the details I have collected on this temple so far, as well as renders showing the model’s development.

UPDATE 11/22/2018: The video for this temple is already finished and online, see it here!

Monday morning I received an email from a friend saying he had a blurry image of the Urdanetta Temple render. There was not much in the way of visible detail on it, but I wanted a break, so I gave it a go:

I only worked on it for a few minutes, no more than half an hour. Later that afternoon the Church officially unveiled the full scale render when they announced the groundbreaking for the temple would take place on 16 January 2019. Well, the official render, anyway. For some reason this official image is half the number of pixels of most official renders. Sigh.

Anyway, that kicked me into full gear, and away I went:

I actually decided to start completely over, as the new render, low quality as it was, was still leaps and bounds better than the one blurry photo I had already.

Just 24 hours later I have a basic model in place. I hope to have a simple video, just going from one side to the other, done by weeks end. That will be determined by how fast my computer is. It will be done by Next week at the latest though!

Adelaide Australia Temple Dusk thumb2

New Dusk Video for Adelaide Australia Temple

I learned something important with this video. When doing multiple lights in a scene, turn off reflection in the temple stone, even if it is there in real life. So distracting. I will know next time. This video features updated and fixed details on the model, as well as the addition of the lights around the temple, and fully modeled trees. It took longer to render than most of my temple videos do these days.
