Herod’s Temple

So this is a bit outside of my usual, but only by about 1,800 years, so no biggie. Those of you who have followed my work know that my model of Herod’s Temple has been in the works for a few years now. It’s finally to a point where I am considering it complete enough to post a video of. I may do more someday, but that day, if it exists, is a long way off.

This was a difficult model to get to this point. It seamed like fixing one little thing would cause ten others to get messed up, and I am not always certain how that happened, I just know it did.

But w are here now, and I hope you enjoy this model and video!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I have it?

No.

Can I buy it?

Not likely. It would depend on what you want to use it for, for one. You would also need to remember that it represents a huge investment in research and time, on my part, and on that of others. There are many things to consider when it comes to the use of this model.

Tabernacle of Moses Demo Reel

Those of you who were able to attend the Tabernacle of Moses exhibit at BYU have already seen this. For those of you were unable to get tickets, here is the tabernacle renders and video I did for the exhibit. The video itself had some issues, most of that is linked to the small amount of time I had to render. Our time schedule was very compressed, and there was a limit as to what we could do quality wise.

Solomon's Temple

The New Commission part 2

This is part 2 of the current project I am working on. I enjoyed this more than the Tabernacle of Moses. Most of the model was done when I received it, but I have redone the Ark, the Cherubim, The font, the walls around the courtyard, the textures, the materials, The terrain, the lighting, and the cutaway. Multiple small tweaks have been made to most of the model to make it work better. So, here is my variant of the model of Solomon’s Temple:

Sorry for the blur on the font. We added a slight depth of field effect to make the overall image more interesting, and I have not removed it for this image.
