Port-au-Prince Haiti Temple

Video

This video is a guess as to what the temple will like like. It is based on the render the church released, The satellite Images available in Google Earth at the time of its creation, and includes speculations both by myself and Rick Satterfield of ldschurchtemples.org. None of it is intended to be official, and there is a very good chance that, like my first version of the video, I have much of it wrong. For this particular guess I started with the size and shape of the foundation on Google Earth images. Also was the assumption that a spot to the east of the temple is for a Residence to house the president, a practice increasingly common at Temples world wide.

Video

This video is a guess as to what the temple will like like. It is based solely on the render the church released, and includes speculations both by myself and Rick Satterfield of ldschurchtemples.org..  None of it is intended to be official, and there is a very good chance I have much of it wrong. For this particular guess I started with the size and shape of the Tucson Arizona Temple and modified it as necessary to fit the official render. (My earliest guess was based upon the size and shape of the Gila Valley Arizona Temple.)

Looking back on the render now, there are a few things I begin to suspect are just wrong. For one, looking at the sun direction in the render, I would suspect the temple faces either west or south, rather than the east direction chosen here. Only time will tell, and I will update this again when more information is available.

Audio

I tried something new with this video that I think I will do from here on out. I pulled the sounds of native birds from various sources and mixed them over the top of other sounds that had been recorded either locally or near by. (Although, the tropical grasses sound is not actually “near by,” but there were not many close options that I could locate.)
