Being caught up with the Temple render releases for now, I am back to my Historic Video series. Today takes us forward to the year 1888, and for the first time, the Manti Utah Temple. the video here shows the temple as it would have looked when completed, as well as other buildings representing the support structures built to help the workers in the construction effort. Historic photos show that these buildings remained on site for many years after the dedication.Continue reading “Historic Temple Video Series- Manti Utah Temple (1888)”
I created this just one week after the Church released the official render. That render was rather low resolution, so I had to make guesses about the small details. I am not confident about ANY of those at all. So there will be another video later. In the meantime, enjoy this one!Continue reading “Orem Utah Temple, first draft video”
Earlier this week the Church released the Mendoza Argentina Temple render, along with the location of the temple. So, most of this week was spent on recreating the model digitally for my first video. As usual, there are errors, and issues, most of which I thought I had fixed, though I apparently caused a few more along the way. Hope you enjoy the video!Continue reading “Mendoza Argentina Temple First Draft video”
I have a new video for you today. Shortly after the Logan Temple was dedicated it was decided to expand the annex to add more area for the administrative side of things. Additionally, a new entrance was added on the east side of the annex. This addition was to help shelter the original entrance from the bitter winds in the area, especially in the winter. This two door setup is similar to the double sets of doors seen on many temples and other buildings today.Continue reading “Historic Temple Video series – Logan Utah Temple (1885-1915)”
A bit more than a week after the render was initially released, here is my model and video for the Salta Argentina Temple. As usual, I had only the render to work off of, so any details like landscaping will have to wait for another day closer to the completion of the temple.Continue reading “Salt Argentina Temple 1st Draft Video”
In an effort to keep up with the Church, I present to you today my first draft video for the Okinawa Japan Temple, the design of which was released just last week. Enjoy!Continue reading “Okinawa Japan Temple First Draft Video”
This last Monday the Church released an official artists render for the Coban Guatemala Temple and the Okinawa Japan Temple. Despite having other work I needed to get done this week, I managed to scrape enough time in the evenings to put together this model. The fact that is is so nearly the same as the Praia Cabo Verde Temple helped.Continue reading “First Draft for Cobán Guatemala Temple”
The longest, and possibly most complex video I have ever released. This temple model represents the Logan Temple as it probably looked in 1884 when it was dedicated.
This model features the interior rooms of the original temple. These rooms have since been removed during a renovation in the 1970s. I had a good time making very inaccurate reproductions of the original murals, based on partial black and white photos from before the demolition.Continue reading “Historic Video Series – Logan Utah Temple (1884)”
Announced as a temple for the Yuba City area, the later renamed Feather River California Temple has had the design revealed, but as of yet, no groundbreaking announcement. This video is my attempt to reconstruct the temple based upon the released render.
