I am lucky to have a wife who, if not completely enjoying my fascination with temples, at least understands it. It was her idea to go to the Calgary Temple open house. That’s an 18 hour drive from where we live. We visited Brigham City, Idaho Falls, Rexburg and stayed overnight just blocks from the Cardston Temple. We drove up to the Calgary temple the next day for the open house, took some photos and stayed the night in Cardston Again. And we did all this with a one year old and a Two and a Half year old.

This may be our one chance to ever get this far north. Our one regret is that we did not continue on up to Edmonton, which we knew we were going to regret even as we made the decision not to. But, small kids!
